Harper Scott's older sister, June, took her own life a week before high school graduation, leaving Harper devastated. So when her divorcing parents decide to split up June's ashes, Harper steals the urn and takes off cross-country with her best friend, Laney, to the one place June always dreamed of going—California. Enter Jake Tolan, a boy with a bad attitude, a classic-rock obsession…and an unknown connection to June. When he insists on joining them, Harper's just desperate enough to let him. With his alternately charming and infuriating demeanor and his belief that music can see you through anything, he might be exactly what Harper needs. Except…Jake's keeping a secret that has the power to turn her life upside down—again.

First, I have to say how much I loved this book.  Saving June, really touched my heart and soul.  When I read the blurb about the book, I wasn't too sure how much I would enjoy it, but I'm so glad I requested this amazing book.

I loved the connection to music in this book, being a music lover myself, I found myself connecting to the characters through music.  I loved the character Jake in this book for this very reason, he is  a total music geek, ( a hot music geek lol) The other reason I love Jake in this book is the way him and Harper grade on each other.  They are total opposites but they find a common ground through the music.

This book's topic is a really sad topic, but I found myself smiling read this book. At first, I wasn't too sure about Harper going on a trip right after her sister commits suicide taking her sisters ashes with her.  But I everyone griefs in their own way and this trip taking her sister to all the places she had wanted to go is Harper's way to grief for her sister.

I loved how strong Harper is in this book.  I always love a strong character and Harper is strong through a very tough time.  Losing a sister is unimaginable for me! I also loved Harper for how loyal she is to her friends.  Her relationship with her best friend is one of the truest kind and those are the hardest to find.  Harper is also my favorite character because of her no nonsense, say it how it is and mean what she says way.  I always want to be like that and its hard.  This is just another testament to how strong she really is.

In this book Harper is filled with tons of guilt and anger throughout each page.  She had no idea about the feelings of her sister, since they had been drifting apart for years.  June was the one that was perfect, the nice and polite one.  The perfect girl.  So Harper becomes the total opposite of June.  The One that tells it like it is and doesn't care to step on anyone's toes to do it.  It's just another way she shows her grief.

Saving June, is a magnificiat book that follows a strong gril in her grief over her sister killing herself.  Its's a book about healing after a tragidty, its about learning new things about yourself.  Saving June, is a book about so many things and for that reason I give this book a...

I thought after reading this book that I would be all sad and mopy, that I would need something really happy to read.  But I found myself that it was far from the truth.  This book actually makes me smile!

I love finding those books that you can look at again after you have read it and smile just from seeing the cover.  Those are the best books and the best feelings.  Saving June, is one of those books!

So I hope you all will go get this book on November 29th, if you do please come back and let me know what you thought of it!
