Hell on earth.

That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.
It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts—immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something—something dangerous.
What if Daniel’s version of the past isn’t actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

The second novel in the addictive FALLEN series . . . where love never dies.

Lauren Kate is one of my favorite authors.  Her books are the first Fallen angel books I read. Torment is the second book in her Fallen series.  Fallen was the first, (click here to check out my review for Fallen.)

In Torment, I began feeling a little pissed off at the angels and pissed at Luce as well.  IN this story the angels keep a lot of really important information from Luce and she keeps running right into the arms of danger.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Torment just as much as Fallen, if not more.  We get to meet a lot more angels and get to know a lot more about the ones we fell in love with in Fallen.  I loved how we also get to learn more about the Announcers in this book and how they work.  I love how Lauren Kate describes them and their abilities.

You also learn more about the Outcasts and find out why they want Luce so much.  The reason caught me off guard a bit when I was reading.  I loved how they take Luce to this new school and when I say school its not really what you would think of a school.  My other favorite part about this book is that the reader gets to see just how not so different the fallen are from the non fallen Angels.

This amazing book is full of twists and turns, that is keeps you on the edge of your seat.  I couldn't' get enough of this book! Of course, there is a total cliffy at the end and I'm going crazy wanting to read the next book, which is waiting for me on my TBR shelf right now.  I might just have to go read that now lol.

I loved Fallen, but Torment was just as amazing, if not more!!! If you loved Fallen, you will love this one as well!

I give Torment by Lauren Kate a:

Here is how I break that down:

Plot: 20/20
Characters: 20/20
Creativity: 20/20
Writing: 20/20
Ending: 10/10 (loved the cliffy)
Cover: 10/10

100 out of 100 = 5 Puppy rating!!!
