Book Blogger Hop #67

Book Blogger Hop is another post I'm going to be trying out and this one has a topic each week, which is something I've been trying to bring to the blog.  I'm really excited about this one because I have a hard time coming up with something fresh to talk about and I'm hoping this helps.

15th - 21st - Do you use NetGalley, Edelweiss, both, or neither? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

I use mainly Netgalley but on occasion I'll head over to Edelweiss and request a book or two. I don't like Edelweiss that much, it's just not as easy to use as Netgalley. It's not user friendly at least not to me.

Which one do you use? Do you find Edelweiss user friendly or not so much? I would love to know what you think?

15th - 21st - Have you ever thought about taking a break from blogging/Booktubing (if you're a Booktuber)? If you have, how long was the break and what did you learn from it? (submitted by Danielle @ PoetryBooksYA)

I have taken several breaks from blogging. I had to a few times because of health or just needed to due to burn out. Now every once in awhile I'll take short little breaks to combat burn out. It's something I learned. You have to take care of yourself first, then you'll be okay to blog. You come first as the blogger!

If you're a blogger, have you ever had to take a break or do you take breaks? If you're not a blogger, what are your thoughts as reader when we take breaks? I would love to know your thoughts.

Blog Tour: Right Girl Wrong Timing

Today I'm super excited to share with you all a great spotlight for Right Girl Wrong Timing by Natalie Decker. Below you will find all the information about this great book and author, along with a giveaway!

Right Girl Wrong Timing by Natalie Decker
Publication Date: March 12, 2019
Publisher: Swoon Romance

Adaline Frost’s life officially sucks. Now that her BFF has found her true love, Addy is constantly stuck being the third wheel. On top of that, she hasn’t started her junior project yet, so her advisor pairs her up with what could only be described as the “Reject Breakfast Club.” Instead of the weirdo and the troublemaker, Addy is forced to work with two stoners, a popular girl, and her crush, Austin Reed, the jock who broke her heart.

Austin Reed is sick of being labeled “dumb jock.” If he doesn’t get an A on this project, he can kiss his future goodbye. Austin thought he’d gotten lucky being partners with the very nerdy Adaline Frost, but boy was he wrong. Addy jumps down his throat about his being late and calls him names like “manwhore” on the daily. She has no idea Austin works before and after school in order to help his mom with the bills. Yeah, he’s made mistakes and has had lots of girlfriends, but he doesn’t need Adaline Frost to remind him of it every time he sees her.

Can Austin and Addy ever be a thing?

Right Girl Wrong Timing is book 3 in the Offsides series by Natalie Decker.

Natalie Decker is the Author of Rival Love. She loves oceans, sunsets, sand between her toes, and carefree days. Her imagination is always going, which some find odd. But she believes in seeing the world in a different light at all times. Her first passion for writing started at age twelve when she had to write a poem for English class. However, seventh grade wasn’t her favorite time and books were her source of comfort. She took all college prep classes in High school, and attended the University of Akron. Although she studied Mathematics she never lost her passion for writing or her comfort in books. She’s a mean cook in the kitchen, loves her family and friends and her awesome dog infinity times infinity. If she’s not writing, reading, traveling, hanging out with her family and friends, then she’s off having an adventure. Because Natalie believes in a saying: Your life is your own journey, so make it amazing!

Teaser Tuesday #163

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser.

Reading over the letter to my mother, I am so absorbed in my head with adding the true statements to my written words that I fail to pay attention to the street. I cannot decide which shocks me more--nearly being run over by the horse-drawn cart, or the fluid stream of cursing in my native tongue that is being directed at me.

I'm super excited to read this book. It's been on my shelf for a very long time. I have loved the cover for years, but never seemed to have time to read this one. The time is now! I also love the the way it starts off. If that didn't grab my attention not much will.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this one?

8th - 14th - Do you buy all your books? If yes, do you keep it all? If no, where do you source them? (submitted by Angelica @ Paperback Princess)

I buy a lot of my books, but not all of them. Publishing companies are nice enough to send me a lot of them for review. I keep most of them, I don't have room for all of them sadly, (totally wish I had a huge library for each and every one of them.) I usually take them to little free libraries for other people to enjoy. I sometimes donate them to Libraries or schools.

Do you keep all of your books? If not, where do you take them?
