Teaser Tuesday #175

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser.

Fifteen-year-old Winona Grey stared out at the waterfront ranch that had been her family for four generations, looking for something that had changed. Loss like theirs should leave a mark--summer grass gone suddenly brown, dark clouds that refused to life, a tree split by lightning. Something.

This is another great book I picked up from the used library sale, I got some great ones this year. Can't wait for the next one, anyway, I haven't read too many books by this author and honestly the first one I read I didn't enjoy. I'm hoping to give her another shot with this one.

Book Blogger Hop #73

Book Blogger Hop is another post I'm going to be trying out and this one has a topic each week, which is something I've been trying to bring to the blog.  I'm really excited about this one because I have a hard time coming up with something fresh to talk about and I'm hoping this helps.

21st - 27th - (Double Question Week) - 1.Which is your favourite library (or which would you most like to visit)? (submitted by Nicki @ Nicki J. Markus/Asta Idonea) 2. How often do you visit the library? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

Well I'm still trying to learn the new places in our new town, but the first place I had to start going to was our library. It's the headquarters library here in the city I live in. This library is huge! I love it. There is so many books and some great people that work there. I do miss our old library in KY though at times. I visit the library pretty much every week. I have to have my book fix.

Do you have a favorite library you go to? Why do you enjoy it so much? Let me know in the comments below.

Her father wasn't well. They kept saying she shouldn't worry too much, but she should still come back to London. He had had an operation--emergency kidney transplant; he'd been bumped right up the list. He was lucky to get one, considering his lifestyle, his age, everything.

This is one that I picked up from the used library sale a few weeks back. I'm super excited to read it. This one sounds fantastic. Anyway, have you read this one? If so, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

14th - 20th - Have you ever been called a "book nerd?" If so, how did you react? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

Yes! Of course I have, I don't mind it so normally I just say "thank you."  I think being a book nerd isn't something bad. If someone walked into my house they would know right away.

Have you ever been called a book nerd? If so, do you think being a book nerd is bad? How do you take it?

It's a good think I booked an aisle seat, because I'm the last one on the plan. I knew I'd be late for my flight. I'm late for almost everything. That's why I booked an aisle seat in the first place. I hate making people get up so that I can squeeze by.

I'm really enjoying books by author Taylor Jenkins Reid, I borrowed this one from the library and can't wait to start it. It sounds so good!

Have you read anything by this author, if so please tell me other books by her that are must reads. Leave me a comment below!
