TBR Pile Revamped #2

So you read the title of this post correct, I am revamping my To Be Read List posts.  I've been thinking of this for a long time and I really want to combine some of my favorite posts and make them mine.  So what I want to do is combine my weekly updates, my weekly reading posts, and Showcase Sunday posts all together.  So this is what I have come up with.  My To Be Read Lists will be a weekly post with all these combined.  This post is my first week of doing this.  I got some of this idea by checking out several of my favorite blogs, I have combined their ideas into one and now this is my To Be Read List Weekly Posts.

This is being posted a day late, sorry but with the holiday I didn't get to post anything yesterday.  I hope you all had a great weekend and holiday!

So this week I got a few great books.  Check out the great image below and the links to each book on Goodreads are under the image.   This week I got a few books from Scholastic and I want to say Thank you so much for these.  I also got a few books from a used bookstore to add to my collection.

I'm really excited to read Wings of Fire with my little boy for a Mini Me Corner Review.  The book looks great and I'm so sure he will love it.  Strange Angels is another book I've been dying to read but haven't gotten my hands on a copy of it so I was so excited when I saw it at the bookstore.

Books I Plan to Read
(April 1st through April 7th)

So pretty much, I had a very bad reading week last week and review week last week as well.  So sorry about that.  But I plan on making it up this week.  I'm going to read the three books I planned on reading last week and finish all the reviews I had plan on reviewing last week as well.
Sometimes Life kicks our butts but we have to kick back right? So that is what I'm going to do this week! Below is a reminder of what I plan on reading!

So this book, like I said above, I got it from the author/book fair I went too.  The author's book that I wanted to read, which is the first book in this series about these characters, isn't released yet.  So I got this novella to tide me over.  I am going to use it to start off a new feature called Short Story Saturday, it was started by 365 Days of Reading and I want to start reading more Short Stories or Novellas so I thought this would be a great way to do this.  I wont be posting these every Saturday, but I will be posting these sometimes.

INTRODUCING The first in the Alterra Histories series of NOVELLAS. From the creator of the beloved ELFHUNTER Series comes a tale of fate and faith, of the perils of pride, and of the power of love itself — as a King is forced to confront that which he has long denied–that which is in us all. The Shadow has come to Alterra: a force of such power and terror that none may stand against it. It has but one purpose: to lure Aincor to his doom.

I love the look and sound of this book.  I love this kind of book and its being released in April so get ready for a review.  Hopefully I can have it read and reviewed before April 1st which is my plan.  Keep your fingers crossed that I can do it.  Plus, I've been looking for something different from what I've been reading and I'm hoping this is it!

The first in a rousing, funny, genre-busting trilogy from bestseller Jaclyn Moriarty! This is a tale of missing persons. Madeleine and her mother have run away from their former life, under mysterious circumstances, and settled in a rainy corner of Cambridge (in our world). Elliot, on the other hand, is in search of his father, who disappeared on the night his uncle was found dead. The talk in the town of Bonfire (in the Kingdom of Cello) is that Elliot's dad may have killed his brother and run away with the Physics teacher. But Elliot refuses to believe it. And he is determined to find both his dad and the truth. As Madeleine and Elliot move closer to unraveling their mysteries, they begin to exchange messages across worlds -- through an accidental gap that hasn't appeared in centuries. But even greater mysteries are unfolding on both sides of the gap: dangerous weather phenomena called "color storms;" a strange fascination with Isaac Newton; the myth of the "Butterfly Child," whose appearance could end the droughts of Cello; and some unexpected kisses...

If you all have read my blog before you know why I'm reading this book.  The first book in this series Incarnate was one of my picks for best books of 2012.  I got my copy of Asunder last week and have been dying to read it.  So I'm going to this week.

DARKSOULS Ana has always been the only one. Asunder. Apart. But after Templedark, when many residents of Heart were lost forever, some hold Ana responsible for the darksouls–and the newsouls who may be born in their place. SHADOWS Many are afraid of Ana’s presence, a constant reminder of unstoppable changes and the unknown. When sylph begin behaving differently toward her and people turn violent, Ana must learn to stand up not only for herself but for those who cannot stand up for themselves. LOVE Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection. In this second book in the Newsoul trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful. Once again, Jodi Meadows explores the extraordinary beauty and shadowed depths of the soul in a story equal parts epic romance and captivating fantasy.

So like I said above I had a terrible reading week last week and I have so much to do this week to get caught back up.  So pretty much my whole review list from last week has to be posted.
