It's Monday...What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Journey!

It's time for my Monday post.  Below you will find what I plan on Reading for this week.   It's going to be a light week of reading.  Got a lot going on.  But I really want to read the book below!
 What I'm Reading Today
Title: Essence
Author: A.L. Waddington
Publisher: Booktrope Publishing
Jocelyn Timmons does not believe she is anything special — just an ordinary high school senior, living an ordinary life full of school-work, volleyball and friends. She’s about to find out how wrong she is. Jackson Chandler moved in to the house across the street. His dark wavy hair, green eyes and charismatic personality draws everyone to him. Everyone, but Jocelyn. Whenever Jackson gets near Jocelyn she feels ill and dizzy. When he touches her, she blacks out and has visions of another life, in another time. As the odd hallucinations evolve and become clearer, she feels a strong pull towards the people she sees there. Frightened, she watches her once stable life begin to crumble around her and she begins to question her own sanity. Could it be possible that these episodes are actually her own memories of a life she is living somehow, somewhere, some-when? Maybe this is time-travel or some other paranormal mysticism? Our minds often wander, but can our souls?

What I Plan On Reading This Week:

Title: When My Heart Was Broken
Author: Tricia Stirling
Publishing: Scholastic Press
Expected Publication Date: February 24th, 2015

"I used to be one of those girls. The kind who loved to deliver bad news. When I colored my hair, I imagined it seeping into my scalp, black dye pooling into my veins. But that was the old Lacy. Now, when I cast spells, they are always for good." 16-year-old Lacy believes that magic and science can work side by side. She's a botanist who knows how to harness the healing power of plants. So when her father dies, Lacy tries to stay with her step-mother in Chico, where her magic is good and healing. She fears the darkness that her real mother, Cheyenne, brings out, stripping away everything that is light and kind. Yet Cheyenne never stays away for long. Beautiful, bewitching, unstable Cheyenne who will stop at nothing, not even black magic, to keep control of her daughter's heart. She forces Lacy to accompany her to Sacramento, and before long, the "old" Lacy starts to resurface. But when Lacy survives a traumatic encounter, she finds herself faced with a choice. Will she use her powers to exact revenge and spiral into the darkness forever? Or will she find the strength to embrace the light?

So there is my list for this week, what are you planning to read? It's been a while since I've actually got to read for fun, so this is going to be a great week.

Take Control of Your TBR Pile 2015 Challenge

I'm really excited about this event! I need to get a bit of control over my TBR Pile and that's exactly what I'll be doing this March.  This great event is called Take Control of Your TBR Pile and it starts March 1st and runs through the 31st.

Goals!!

So my goals for March are to take my whole TBR pile for the month and read only books that have been on my shelf's for a while and I'm even taking it a step further from the main rules.  I'm only reading books that were released in 2014.

My goal is to read 5 of the books that have been on my shelf waiting for me to read.  I'll post which 5 books at the end of February.

If you would like to participate, make sure you CLICK HERE for more details.

Sunday Post #7

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So for this past week, I've been nonstop with my new business and reading manuscripts.  As most of you know I'm now a Literary Agent and it's been crazy around here.  Since I didn't make a post for Sunday Post last week, my daughter got third place in the Science Fair at her school last week, which was amazing.  With that being said though, I didn't get much reading done last week.  Well I did read two books so that really wasn't that bad.  It's a lot better than none.

February TBR Pile

So I'm ready to reveal what I plan on reading in Feruary.  I'm actually early with this post for once.  Go me! But anyway, below is the books that I plan on reading and I also have a few ebooks to add to the list and a few tour books as well.  I'm excited!

First set are actual books that I have that I can pick up and read! I love having an actual book in my hands.  Just sayin.

A few of these are review books from Scholastic and two of them are books that I've had on my shelf for a bit and I really want to get to them. Both of them are the books I pulled out of my TBR jar for Feb.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter
When My Heart Was Wicked by Tricia Stirling
The Eye of Minds by James Dashner
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Nnewts by Doug TenNapel (Book One)

Now this next set are books for a tour that is coming up in March.

Essence by A.L. Waddington
Enlightened by A.L. Waddington
Perception by A.L. Waddington

There are a few other ebooks that I would like to read, just not sure I will have enough time in the month.  So I'll show them in March instead.

Take a Break Watch This Vid

Take a Break Watch this Vid is a post that I have her on Ali's Bookshelf from time to time.  It showcases a lot of book trailers or movie trailers that I'm excited to see/read. Today is no different.  Today I have the book trailer to author Kristen Simmons (You all know I love her!) new book The Glass Arrow.  I've read this book and it's fantastic.  It comes out February 10th so make sure you get your copy! You will love it.

I hope you enjoyed this book trailer as much as I did.  I'm super excited about the books release.
