Jesse Lachlin is cursed.

So the town folklore says, but while Jesse’s had his fair share of tragedy, the only curse he believes is in his grandmother’s will: in order to inherit his family farm he must win the approval of his childhood best friend, the girl he froze out his freshman year, Scarlett Copeland.

Scarlett Copeland is psychic.

Glory Gardner tells Scarlett she has hidden psychic abilities, but Scarlett thinks Glory is delusional. What is real is Scarlett’s father’s irrational fears, controlling attitude, and the dark secrets at home. Scarlett may have a way to escape, but there’s a hitch: she’ll have to rely on the one person she used to trust, the same boy who broke her heart, Jesse Lachlin.

Each midnight meeting pushes Jesse and Scarlett to confront their secrets and their feelings for each other. But as love blooms, the curse rears its ugly head…

There is so many things that I want to say about this fantastic book, let's just start off by saying Katie McGarry does it again! Author Katie McGarry has a way of grabbing your attention and not letting it go. Her characters always have a way of making your feel what they are feeling and Only A Breath Apart isn't any different!  I love that about her books. It's just one of the things that makes her books pull away from the pack in my eyes anyway.

So with all that being said, I was super excited when I was emailed and asked to read and review Katie's newest release. As soon as I got the email I read the summary and I was so intrigued, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and I of course jumped at the chance.  I'm so happy that I did. Like every other book by this author, I couldn't put this one down.

The emotions in this book is just well it's breathtaking how this author can just make you feel so many emotions while reading one book. Have you ever felt that way or had a book do that to you? It only happens to me every once in awhile. To me it shows just how amazing of a writer this author is. I know I've said this before about author Katie McGarry! Mainly because I've read a lot of her books and each one brings something new that I just cling to as a reader.

In this book, both her characters have a problem, one is cursed, but not a way you would think. The other has secrets that she tries to keep to herself, but the truth has to come out. He also hurt her in the past and she's not sure she wants to trust him. I love these characters! I love Katie McGarry's writing style. There is so much love for this book.

If you are looking for a fantastic young adult romance, this book is the one you need to grab and read. You won't be disappointed. I need more books by this and can't wait to read Katie McGarry's next one, because she never disappoints to write my next favorite read.

Katie McGarry was a teenager during the age of grunge and boy bands and remembers those years as the best and worst of her life. She is a lover of music, happy endings, reality television, and is a secret University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Janurary's TBR Plan

Hey everyone! It's 2019, can you believe it? Totally crazy right. Anyway, since it's the first day of Janurary I wanted to start the year off right with my TBR Plan for the first month of the year. I'm going to give these posts a try once again and see if it works for me. I don't want pressure in my reading this year so I'm going to stick with the plan not a list, just a plan. Taking the pressure out of reading/reviewing really helped me last year, but I still want to read a certain amount and it to be a little more organized. So hence the plan!

So let's start off with how last months TBR went.

How December Went

December didn't go as planned, but then again with all the stuff that life brought me in December I totally know why. I did however get a few books read. My orignal TBR post can be found here.

I wasn't able to finish any of the books on the list, I did start two of them, I'm half way through the one and ended up sadly DNFing the other. So I didn't do too bad. The main reasons I didn't start the others was that I just wasn't in the mood for Christmas books any longer. I needed something different.

I did however finish another book.

 My Angel by Alanea Alder

This series has become a favorite of mine and they're my go to books when I need a good laugh. I had a really rough month in December and these books got me through. So I did have an okay reading month even though all the choas.

The Plan for Janurary

So sticking with the plan, here is the books I plan on reading this month.

First off the first book I'm reading this year is a re-read, but one that is very near and dear to my heart. I know I'm probably going to get some kind of slack for this, but I needed a book to start off the year that I love! So I'm re-reading Twilight! Started it last night actually.

As for the rest of my TBR plan for Janurary...

For Review (E-Arc's): Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills, The Best of Us by Robyn Carr, and One Tough Cowboy by Lora Leigh

For Review  (Physical ARC): Outwalkers by Fiona Shaw
Owned Copy: By the Light of the Moon by Jodi Vaughn

I have a few others sitting on my TBR cart that I might get to if I finish these! You never know with mood reading though. By the way have you all seen my new TBR cart, I'm in love with it and don't know why I didn't get one sooner. Really wish I had! Anyway, if you haven't seen it here's the instagram image I posted in December. Also if you don't follow me on Instagram you so should. CLICK here to do so.

That second shelf is full of books that I really want to get to soon, so if I finish the books above I'll be picking from those! Anyway, I hope you are all having a great first day to the new year! Happy New Year if you didn't see yesterday's post and as always...
