Mission: Supernova by C.L. Parker Chapter 4

*Spoiler Alert and Warning: These posts are going to contain quotes from the book and if you haven't read or aren't reading along right now, I suggest you not read any further.  If you do you are reading at your own risk.  Fair Warning, plus there is some language in this post so it's not for the youngins!!*

Alright so lets chat about chapter 4...

This chapter is more in Dominic's point of view and we get a chance to know more about his back store, which is something I love to learn about when I'm reading a book.  I love getting to know the characters that I'm reading about.

His back story is a lot to take in I must say.  Its pretty sketchy and I feel so bad for him and what he actually had to do to take care of his little brother.

He Knew the things he did were wrong: dealing drugs, fencing stolen property, roughing up or even taking the life of some poor sap that got on the wrong side of some very vengeful people. He wasn't proud of what he had done by any means. On the contrary, he was quite disgusted with himself, be he only did what was necessary to take care of his little brother and his alcoholic mother.

I really want to know more about him staying there and why he's not safe if he leaves.  It makes me really curious what would actually happen to him if he were to leave.

Plus, hes already very attracted to Kerrigan even if he does think she will be a handful.  He promised to take care of her or watch over her so that is what he's going to do.  But I still wonder how far he will go to do that.

"Kerrigan was nothing at all like what Availia had described. From first impressions, at least. It went without saying that Availia held her granddaughter's life at a higher level of importance than even her own. The way she talked about her, it was like she was still an innocent child who hadn't quite reached her full potential.

A child, she most certainly was not.

Her eyes - Jesus, they were hypnotic: (all of these are quotes from ch 4)

I would really love to see all his tatoos, though I wish the one didn't mean what it did.  I would have also loved to have been a fly on the wall during the part when she gets all dizzy and he saves her from falling.  OMG that part was awesome.  Him all pressed up against her like that.

His touch was too much to absorb, and she was growing increasingly dizzy. The room spun like she was on a merry-go-round, and a gush of air escaped her mouth. She clung to Dominic's forearm with one hand and pressed the other to his chest. When she stumbled back toward the railing, Dominic dropped the towel he had been using to dry his har and wrapped his other arm around her waist.

Oh la la!!! Again this was another great chapter and I'm loving this book a lot.  I can't wait to read more to see what happens next.

So let's see my question for C.L Parker today would have to be this:

When you wrote the scene where she is dizzy and almost falls, we know that Gabe is listening in at the door, but did you see her mom listening in also?  Just wondering lol.

Alright, so that's it for today! I will have more posted on this great book tomorrow.  So until then....Happy Reading!!!
