It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Journey!
So I am finally here and back to doing what I love. I know I've been gone for awhile, sometimes you just need a break from things and I took a small hiatus, but I'm here. Let's do the thing.
Last week I didn't really read anything. Like I said Hiatus, but let's see what I'm reading this week.
Today I'm Reading:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
That's right I'm rereading this with my daughter and we are very excited to start it tonight. Everyone should know what this book is about so I'm not even going to put the description.
What I Plan To Read This Week:
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
My name is Katniss Everdeen.
Why am I not dead?
I should be dead.
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.
It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans--except Katniss.
The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay--no matter what the personal cost.
Alright so that is what I'm reading this week, again just to make sure you all know my plans for this year, I'm reading for fun. Whatever I decide to read I'm reading for me. Last year I lost the love of reading and that really upsets me, so this year I'm going with the flow and will read what I can. Lots of love and as always Happy Reading!!!
