Down the TBR Hole #5

This is Down the TBR Hole, I used to post these, but just recently  but it always helped me clear out some of the books that I no longer want to read. Anyway, this meme was created by Lost in a Story, sadly right now she's on a hiatus and isn't really posting right now.

 I found the post again over at Cornerfolds blog and I knew I needed to get back to this meme!  Currently my TBR shelf on Goodreads is way over 2000 books, so I really need to work on getting that number down.

A Witch in Winter by Ruth Warburton

After reading the summary again I'm not sure if I would actually enjoy this book. It sounds like so many other books I've read over the years.

Verdict: Pass 

Geek Girl by Holly Smale

This is one of those books I saw everywhere for awhile, now I never see it. Now after reading the summary again I'm not sure I would enjoy this book. It just doesn't seem like a book that I would pick up anymore and read.

Verdict: Pass 

When You Were Here by Daisy Whitney

I don't rememeber where I heard about this book, but after reading the summary I know why I added it. This book still sounds fantastic and I can't wait to read it.

Verdict: Keep 

Since You Asked by Maurene Goo

This just doesn't sound like something I would enjoy anymore, sadly!  Thing is I'm pretty sure I already unhauled this book, but I may be wrong.

Verdict: Pass 

Undead by Kirsty McKay

Now I love me some zombie books and movies, but this one just sounds like one I wouldn't really enjoy and even pick up to read.

Verdict: Pass

The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams

I added this book to my list because of a friend that told me how much she loved it. I really liked the cover and the summary. Looking at it now, I still want to read this book. It sounds really good!

Verdict: Keep  

Kindling The Moon by Jenn Bennett

The same friend above told me to also read this one. Again this one sounds like something I would enjoy! I think I'll keep this one around for awhile longer and see if I get to it. 

Verdict: Keep for now 

Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne

Yet another one that my friends told me to read. I also seen this one around Booktube a lot so I added it. The book still sound pretty good to me and yet again I'm going to keep this one on my list. 

Verdict: Keep for now  

Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson

I'm pretty sure I added this one after seeing in on a few blogs that I read. After all this time and reading the summary again, I don't really think it's something that I'm going to want to read. Sadly, it just doesn't sound that interesting anymore. Honestly, it sounds like something I've read before. 

  Verdict: Pass

What's Left Of Me by Kat Zhang

I'm a bit on the fence with this one, in one way I want to keep it around because it sounds good, then I read a few of my friends reviews and they say that they were confused at times but it was a fun read. GRRR I'm not sure. Hmm this is really hard, I think I'm going to pass on this one. 

Verdict: Pass   

I'm not sure how I feel about this one, in the beginning I was good. I know which ones I wanted to keep and which ones I didn't.  Now I'm still on the fence about the one at the end. What do you all think, should I have kept What's Left of Me? Tell me what you think, have you read this one and was it any good?

Wicked Like A Wildfire by Lana Popovic 

Now I just recently added this book to my list, so I'm pretty sure I still want to keep this one there for now. I've heard some mixed reviews, so it might come back up in another Down the TBR Hole later. 

Verdict: Keep for now 

 

Fearless by Carly Phillips 

This is one of the books I bought at RAGT 2018, so I'm keeping this one on my list. It's actually one of the books I want to read soon. 

Verdict: Keep 

Glimmerglass by Jenna Black   

When I first heard about this book in 2010 it sounded really good and I really wanted to read it. It's one of those books that got pushed aside for other books that I had to read for publishing companies. Honestly, it still sounds really good to me, so I think I'm going to boost it up my TBR list and finally read this one.

Verdict: Keep

Sonora by Travis Hall

This is one of the books that a friend of mine told me about and at the time it sounded like something I would enjoy, now after reading the summary it just doesn't sound like a book that I could get into. I think I'm going to have to Pass on this one! 

Verdict: Pass 

 

Chasting Power by Sarah Beth Durst 

After reading the summary for this one, I don't think I'm actually going to read it. It's another book that I was told was good by a friend and I added it to my list. Don't actually have the book, so it won't hurt to take it off my list. Chasing Power doesn't really sound like a book that I would enjoy. So the Verdict is... 

Verdict: Pass

Currently my Want to Read shelf on Goodreads is way over 2000 books, so I really need to work on getting that number down.  I'm also going to up the number that I'm going to go through each post, this way I can get through more books each time. I added this to the list because I purchased the first book in the series, I ended up not reading the first book and actually unhauled it sometime ago. So this one is a great start to this post. Verdict: PASS

I actually got this one off of Amazon for free and never looked at it again. I hate when that happens, but even reading the summary, it doesn't sound that interesting to me anymore. Verdict: PASS

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

This one has been on my Want to read list for a long time! If it doesn't get read by the end of 2019, I'm going to take it off my list. Verdict: KEEP

 

 

 

The Dark Divine by Bree Despain 

This is yet another one that's been on my list since 2011, yep it's been that long. I belive someone I know told me to read this one but honestly it doesn't sound like something I would like anymore. Verdict: PASS

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting

 

 

Another one that's been on my list since 2011! It's time to either read this one or take it off my list. I'm going to give myself till the end of the 2019!  Verdict: KEEP 

 

 

 

Wings by Aprilynne Pike 

 

Yep you guessed it, another book that was added to my list in 2011! This one I think is going to go this year. I need to shorten my list and it doesn't sound as good as it used to sound. Honestly I've read so many books that sound like this one.  Verdict: PASS 

 

 

 

 

Nobody but Us by Kristin Halbrook 

I'm not sure about this one, it honestly doesn't give a good enough description. I think it's time for it to go though. Verdict: PASS

 

 

 

Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill 

 

Another one I'm not so sure about, I've had this one one my shelf for awhile. Think I might keep this one till the end of 2019 and see if I read it. If not it will be heading to the unhaul pile. Verdict: KEEP

Short Stories of Love, Hope, and Laughter, Vol. I by Carlos Salinas

 At the time I remember really wanting to read this book. Don't really like the cover, but it sounded pretty good. At this time, I not really sure if I would really enjoy this one.  VERDICT: PASS

The Revolution of Jack Frost  by K.M. Robinson

This book still sounds fantastic to me. I can't wait to read this one. This book actually was just released and it's sitting on my Kindle waiting for me. Reading the summary reminds me that I really need to bump this one up my list. VERDICT: KEEP 

Crashing Into You  by B.D Rowe

This one has been on my list for awhile, it's one of those Kindle free books, but it sounds really good. Sounds like something I would enjoy reading. So I think for now I'm going to keep it where it is, but if I don't read it soon, I'm going to take it off the list. VERDICT: KEEP for now!  

The Door by Andy Marino

Another book that's been on my list for awhile now. Honestly, I don't think I'm going to read this one. It sadly just doesn't sound as appealing as it did when I added it to my list.  VERDICT: PASS

 

Snowed in Together by Ann Herrick 

If I'm being honest, I've already read like three other books just like this. Pretty much the same exact plot and I don't think I want to add another one to my list. Even though the others were fantastic.  I know this is terrible, but this over just kills me. VERDICT: PASS

So that wasn't too bad for the first Down the TBR Hole post in a long time.
