So for the month of January, I ended up buying an insane amount of books! Though I don't feel bad for doing so because the main place I bought said books were at our new Dollar Tree store and some of these books only cost me one dollar! Yep, that's what I said....$1.
Now I know I usually don't post book hauls, but as I said in a few posts back some things around here are going to be changing. I miss sharing my love of books with you and one way of doing so is sharing what I actually bought or received each month. So that's the plan! I might skip a month sometimes if I don't have that many books to share, but we shall see.
Alright, time to share some books!
First thing first, though, for Christmas, I received a subscription to my first subscription box and I'm loving it so far. I've been wanting to try Owlcrate for awhile now and had watched so many unboxing videos on YouTube, so that's the one I picked. It's super exciting to actually get the box in the mail, and as soon as I got it, I tore it open to see what was inside. I had meant to do an unboxing video, but my excitement got the best of me. Maybe this month I'll do one! Anyway, I want to show you what was inside January's box!
The book is Roseblood by A. G. Howard, the theme for January was Classic Remix and the amazing looking book is a Phantom of the Opera retelling. I'm super excited to read it and it's part of my #TBR for February. There's this amazing calendar in the box and each month is an image of a classic book. The book soap, which is in front of the box above in the picture, smells so good! The tea really isn't my thing, but I actually tried it and it wasn't too bad. Again I was so happy with my first box and can't wait for February's.
Now let's get into the list of the other books that I received or bought this past month!
Most of these came from Scholastic and I can't wait to read each and every one of them. I also received several other boxes from this amazing publishing company and will in the future start filming unboxing videos of these boxes!
The next three images are books all from The Dollar Tree! I'm super excited about these books and can't wait to read them as well.
This was my first trip and noticed they had books. Most of these are books I've been wanting to read for awhile.
These two are from my most recent trip to the store and I was super excited because they had just stocked the shelf. Some of these are amazing covers and sound just as spectacular. Blythewood is one that I'm adding to my February TBR. If you follow my Instagram, you've seen the cover of that one! (You'll also get a sneak peak at the new blog URL that will be changing soon!)
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments below what books you bought or received in January. I'd love to hear from you!
