What if all you want is the one thing you can’t have? First grade teacher Emily Towson always does the right thing. The sensible thing. But in her dreams, she does bad, bad things with the town’s baddest boy: Tanner O’Connor. But when he sells her grandmother a Harley, fantasy is about to meet a dose of reality. And then he goes and calls her “sensible”... Tanner can’t believe sweet Emily is standing in his shop. Yelling and waving her hands and looking so god damn sexy he’s having trouble focusing. He’d spent two hard years in prison, with only the thought of this “good girl” to keep him sane. He really should send her away... Before either one thinks though, they’re naked and making memories on his tool bench with apparently the oldest condom in history. Now Tanner’s managed to knock-up the town’s “good girl” and she’s going to lose her job over some stupid “morality clause” if he doesn’t step up. But can this bad boy teach his good girl they’re perfect for each other in time?
I really enjoyed this book! That is what I must say right away, though there are a few things that I didn't enjoy, like a few normal romance trops that I see in a lot of books, but I loved the exicution of said trops. Which of course made me enjoy reading this one. I needed a good romance to read, mainly because the last one I had tried I didn't enjoy at all and had stopped reading after about half. I needed this one to redeem that love of romance and it didn't fail! That was the only expectation I had when going into this one and it's the best way I've found lately to go into books.
Even though there are a great number of pages for this one, it flew by. It only took me two days to read and for a 400 page book that means a lot. The writing style, like I said above made for a quick read and I will admit this is the first book I've read from this author and I'm hoping to read more from her.
I really enjoyed the swoon factor when it came to this one too! Some great character building and well the ooo la la factor was perfection. I love the bad boy good girl trope and this was done with such grace. I couldn't wait to find out if they were going to get their Happily Ever After. (No Spoilers, I'm not going to tell you if they did or not, where's the fun in that?) Now I will say this, it did take me a few pages to really get into the story, but I'm so glad I stuck it out and stuck with it. Like I said I needed this kind of story and it came just in time.
All in all, I would have to say that this is a great rainy day read or a lazy day read. For the person that loves the bad boy good girl storylines.
For this fantastic book, I'm going to have to give it a Ali's Bookshelf...
