The man had seemed so innocent in the bar—okay, not innocent, per say. He’d been hot, hard, and possessed a butt that I wanted to bite like the last chocolate chip cookie in my stash.

He’d also skipped out of town faster than a villain in a B movie, leaving me woefully unsatisfied. I’d chalked the whole incident up to a bad night stand and moved on with my life.

That was before the news of a failed IUD. Before the plus sign. Before Jordan showed back up determined to make that night up to me.

I didn’t want a baby or a payday or a sexy, stubborn man in my life. I wanted to go back in time and pretend none of it had happened.

Unfortunately, my life had become all about that plus sign . . . and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it.

Excerpt

I opened the browser, typed in “George O’Keith + Son” into the search bar.

“Oh, God,” Bec said when the page loaded. “Your dad is going to kill you.”

“He is so going to kill me,” I agreed.

On the screen was a line of photographs of my father’s mortal enemy.

In some of them, he was hugging Jordan, and seeing the two men side by side brought out their similar features.

Same eyes. Same hair color. Same build. Same smarmy personality.

F*ck my life.

Ali's Blogging To Do List #9

'm not sure if my blogger friends out there are like me, but I am a lister! I have to know in advance which posts are going to go up when and I have a running to do list for my blog. With all of that, I really want to make it a bit simpliar and start a weekly post called Ali's Blogging To Do List! Yep, I know real original, but I figured keeping it simple would work easier. This is actually based on a post that I tried a few times in the past called Task it Tuesday, but sadly from what I'm seeing the blogger that started it is no longer doing that post. CLICK Here to go to her blog.  Which really makes me sad, because honestly I would have just latched on the meme and started posting it instead.  They have no brought it back, but it's over at Bloggiesta!

Anyway, my plan is to bi-weekly, I'm going to make a post on Monday's with a few items I want to get done on my blog that week or by two weeks. I will go back and mark off items once they're finished. I'm hoping this will help me get back into the groove of blogging and help me get some tasks done that I've been wanting to mark off my list for awhile now.

So this week I'm actually on vactation, but I'll still be working on my blog. Honestly, I'll also be working on my book (WIP) well trying to do both. Not sure if you all know this, but I'm in the middle of writing two books, one is in the editing phase and one is being written. If you would like to follow my jouney you can follow my new author FB page: CLICK HERE!

Below is the list of things I need to do for both. Yep I'm now going to add my writing into my list. I'm hoping this will help me with both.

Blogging To Do:

  • Schedule all tour posts for the next two months
  • Read (of course!)
  • Write three discussion posts, I've missed posting these.
  • Schedule the rest of this months posts

Writing To Do:

  • Edit five chapters of First To Fight
  • Write three chapters of Second to Fall

For this post I'm not going to be working on my on-going task seeing as I'm on vacation for the next several weeks.

Cover Reveal: Darkest Hour by Juliette Cross

Today I'm excited to share with you the cover reveal for Darkest Hour by Juliette Cross. Below you will find this fantastic cover and all the information about the book and it's author.

Anya—a stoic, blue-winged angelic warrior—was bitten by a demon prince in battle, and now she has precious little time to find a cure for his deadly venom. But the only archangel with the power to stop the dark poison from corrupting her body and soul is missing. She’ll have to trust her guide, the outcast high demon Dommiel, who is as handsome as he is dangerous if she has any hope.

An outcast of his own kind, high demon Dommiel stays under cover while the war between angels and demons rages on. When the only person who ever showed him kindness asks for his help, he has no choice but to try to save the angel. Venturing back into the dens he has avoided for so long, Anya makes him want and feel things he never thought possible.

But Dommiel knows there is no way an angel can ever love a demon…

She calls lush, moss-laden Louisiana home where she lives with her husband, four kids, and black lab named Kona. Even then, she not only longed to read more books set in Gothic worlds, she wanted to create her own.
