I think I might have just found my favorite book of this amazing authors. Author Jill Shalvis does it again and I must say this book had me at hello! Well, it had me at by the first page is more like it, though the cover had my attention right away. I have loved everything that author Jill Shalvis has written in the past, but this one has become my new favorite. If I'm really being honest I have loved this whole series of hers. The A Heartbreaker Bay series are ones that I know I will probably read all over again in the near future. 

Don't let the page count fool you though, these are fast reads and the plot line in this story had me wanting more but the last page came too fast, like most books! This book is full of sexy men and an even steamier romance. I must say I love Lucas so much! Honestly, I could gush and gush some more about Lucas. I think I found my new book boyfriend. 

I loved the twists and turns of this book just as much as the characters themselves. I hope Jill Shalvis has plans to write more of this series because I need more right away. Her writing style is something to be admired I only wish I could write like she does. The best thing about her books is I never see the plot twists coming. Which is something I don't get to say often. Though with her books I do.

If you haven't read any books from this series, it's a must! Trust me you won't be sorry. If you enjoy contemporary romance grab you a copy of this book and the rest of the series today.

 She did it again and today I'm super excited to share my thoughts on this spectacular new book of author Jill Shalvis.   I love this amazing author's books and this one was not the exception to that statement. I can't get enough of the stories she tells and her writing style. I do however have to see a few differences in this book from her others which isn't really a bad thing at all. I'll talk about those in a few seconds, first, let us talk about my favorite things.


Can we say slow burn? I love slow burn romance stories and this was definitely one of those. They get me every time. I usually don't enjoy books where people fall in love instantaneously and it's all perfect happy happy happy, this was not one of those books. There was so much to this complex story and that's one thing that I think author Jill Shalvis does so well with her books. She can show you that there is so much more out there than just the love story.


I really enjoyed the laughter of this story. Which of course made me love this book even more. When an author can make you feel so many different feelings while reading, then the story seems so much more real. This was one of those books where I felt as if I had jumped into the pages and was living the life of the main character. I couldn't stop reading this book once I picked it up and I know it will be the same for you!


The only thing that was a bit different in this story was the feel, it felt more like women's fiction to me then just romance. It had that flow to it and honestly, I enjoyed it even more because of that.  I can't wait to read more from this spectacular author and I highly recommend this whole series to anyone that loves her books.

Like I said above I jumped at the chance to read The Summer Deal and I'm super happy that I did. Each and every one of this fantastic authors books always pull me in and this one was no different. I'm not sure if it was the camp stories or the multiple POV's or even the secrets of each character that had me so drawn that I just had to know what happened next or if it was Jill's writing style, but whatever it was I'm so glad it did. Honestly, I've been in a bit of reading funk lately. With this crazy world the way it is and my hand being messed up, it was hard to get into a book, but The Summer Deal did just that for me.

I loved the journey this book took me on as a reader, reading each word and seeing how far each character comes in this book was just perfection. I connected with each character on such a different level and that made me want to read this book even more. I didn't want to put this one down, even when I was working and had to clock back in after my break, I wanted to continue reading. I couldn't wait to get home and read some more. I don't know about you but in the Summer time I'm such a mood reader that contemporary romance is just the thing for me and this one was the perfect summer read for me.

Even though I yelled at a few of the characters throughout this one at times and rooted for them in the next few pages, honestly it just made me love each second of reading The Summer Deal even more. I couldn't get enough of it. I've been waiting for a few weeks and trying really hard not to spoil anything when it came to this book so this review could go live.

I must talk about Eli, the boy is just wow! I must say though at times I was wondering if he had his head on wrong. Keeping secrets isn't something I agree with, sometimes those secrets have to come out and in this one it could have saved a lot of heartache if it had come out sooner. Though then again, the characters keeping said secrets were what kept this story going. So I totally get it! I really enjoyed the little snippets from each of the girls camp journals, those parts cracked me up and gave us the perfect glimpse into each of their pasts.

I loved this reading this book and hope you all will enjoy it as much as I did. I'm pretty sure you will. Make sure you pick up your copy today! The Wildstone series is all in all one of my favorites and I can't wait to read the next one in this series.

Author Jill Shalvis does it again! When I was asked to read/review this book, I knew right away that I would say yes just based on who wrote it. I knew I would be hooked and need more, but I still said yes.  I've loved everything Jilly Shalvis has written and this one wasn't any different. Yes, it's shorter, but the length doesn't detour from the story and this one is full and fantastic. I now will be reading the book that this one is connected to.


I fell in love with Dylan and of course Tilly as well. I do want to see more of the other characters in this book though and I hope this fantastic author writes more about them. Especially Dylan's friends. The writing style of Jill Shalvis is one that I can't seem to get enough of and I know for sure I'm not the only one.


I loved how this story doesn't always focus on the lovemaking of the story but the part where they all come together. I love that about Jill's writing. This one was a super fast story and easy read which of course I enjoyed as well. Though honestly, as soon as I finished the book I wanted more right away. Once finished the smile on my face didn't leave for the rest of the night. That's what's best about this authors writing. I rooted for these characters from the start and I have to say that I love the dog in this book as well. He's his own little character and I adore that! He wasn't very secondary and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.


 If you enjoy a second chance love story then this book is for you love a good come back story then this book is for you as well. You really don't have the read the first book before reading this one, but I highly recommend doing so. I wish I had.

First off, I want to thank this amazing publishing company for letting me part of this tour and for sending me this book for review. I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Honestly, I was ready for a sappy love story but this book was so much more. It had thriller/suspense and of course love story all wrapped into one book. Now I don't usually read suspense thrillers, but I loved this one. It wasn't way too intense but I had to know what was going to happen next and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Alright, I'll be honest I actually yelled at this book a few times LOL! That right there makes a fantastic book in my opinion. 

The writing style of author Jill Shalvis is...hmm what's the right word...superb! I was hooked right away and the pacing was perfection. There was never a dull moment while reading this book and I haven't read a book that didn't have a little bit of a lull in awhile. 

Now my only main complaint about this book and the reason I'm not giving it a full five puppy rating is because I did see the ending coming. I'm not going to post spoilers, but it didn't catch me off guard as to who did it. Though at times, I wasn't so sure, so that's the reason I'm giving it such high praise. I loved reading this book, every single word and I can't wait to read the other books in this series and other books by this amazing author.   I did love the twists and turns of this book though and at one point I thought maybe just maybe I was wrong and it was the other love interest in the book.

As far as the characters go, I was rooting for the love interest the whole time. They are defiantly my OTP for this book and I really want to know what happened to them afterward. Each character, even the side characters in this book were well thought out and fleshed out. I need more from the other guys in this book as well. I'm hoping the other books in this series will have some of them as the main characters. I'm crossing my fingers LOL. 

All in all this book was fantastic and totally surprised me how much I enjoyed it. Let's put it this way, I have a few other books by this author and I'll be reading them as soon as I can!
