2016 Reading Challenge Update

I haven't posted an update like this in awhile and thought it would be nice to let everyone, including myself where I stand with this years reading challenges.

This year I only signed up for two challenges, well three if you count the Goodreads one, which for today's post I'm not counting.  Anyway, let's talk about the challenges and how I'm doing so far.




The first challenge is the 2016 TBR Challenge, it's hosted by Bookish Lifestyle. I've tried this challenge in the past and to be honest I've failed miserably.  So this year I'm determined to at least reach my goal.  I have so many books that I've been dying to read, but haven't had the chance.  So this is my year to complete this challenge.

So far I've read: 7 books on my list! 

The Second challenge I signed up for this year is the 2016 Netgalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge, which is hosted by Falling for YA.  This is my first year participating in this challenge, but I have a lot of books that I really need to get to.  That's the main reason I signed up for this one.  I haven't gotten to read many of them yet though, but I plan on changing that in May.

So far I've read: 3 Books 

I've actually gotten a few more books read than I had initially thought when I started writing this post.  Which of course makes me smile!

2016 Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge

I'm really excited that I found this challenge for 2016.  I have so many Netgalley books that need to be read and reviewed, plus I really want that 80% badge from Netalley.  This challenge is hosted by Falling For YA.  For more information on this challenge: CLICK HERE.

Challenge Guidelines

1. The challenge will run from Jan 1, 2016 – Dec 31, 2016.
2. Any genre, release date, request date, length, etc. counts so long as it came from Edelweiss or Netgalley.
3. At the beginning of each month there will be a roundup post for you to add your reviews.
4. If you forget to link up one month it's not a problem. Add your reviews next month or go back to the month your review was posted and link to that list.
5. If you would like to move up or down levels that is completely fine and at your discretion.

Levels

Bronze - 10 Books

Silver - 25 Books

Gold - 50 Books

Platinum - 75 Books

Diamond - 100 Books

I'm shooting for the Silver level of 25 books.  I might raise my level up to Gold though throughout the year, depending on the reading is going.

I made a shelf on Goodreads to keep track of the books I plan to read for this challenge.  Below are a few of the books on my list though.  CLICK HERE to see the whole list. There are a few more added to the list just in case I find one that I don't end up wanting to read.

 

Like I said above, I have ones that I've needed to read for some time.  This is my catch up year for reading.   Time to read!!! 

2016 TBR Pile Reading Challenge
