Shoot, I muttered when the paper sliced my finger; I pulled it out to examine the damage. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut.It all happened very quickly then.Edward threw himself at me, flinging me back across the table...I tumbled down to the floor by the piano, with my arms thrown out instinctively to catch my fall, into the jagged shards of glass. I felt the searing, stinging pain that ran from my wrist to the crease inside my elbow. Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm-into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.Legions of readers entranced by Twilight are hungry for more and they won't be disappointed. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

So, its Twilight Week still here on Ali's Bookshelf and its time to discuss the second book in Stephenie Meyers wonderfully fabulous Saga.   New Moon, is a book about Destined Love, What could happen if you lost true love like (Bella and Edwards) and what lengths someone in Bella's shoes could go to get that love back!

This book is one that actually made me cry my eyes out when I first read it...(okay okay I still cried after the 3rd time reading it lol) Seriously, I cried so hard as Edward says " I dont' want you anymore." I was freaking screaming at this book and my empty house that it wasn't fair and that he just couldn't do that to her.  I just couldn't comprehend how he could or why he would leave her like that.

I have read this book at least, well lets just say over five times.  New Moon is actually my favorite book of all four of them.  Because you really see how much of a connection they have on each other and how much pain Edward would go through to keep Bella safe.

Bella basically goes catatonic when he leaves her.  Three whole months of nothingness goes by and she has no clue what is going on around her.  That right there just shows you how much she loves him.  Another example in this book on how much she loves him is that even though he broke her heart, she flies to save his life.  He thinks she is dead and tries to have himself killed! But she's so amazing and her love for him is so true that she doesn't care she would let him go all over again just as long as he isn't killed.  Seriously, would any of you do that for someone that tore your heart apart like Edward did to Bella? Just think about that for a few minutes.  Could you truely say if an ex broke your heart like this, would you just say who cares he already pretty much killed me, or would you be like Bella and save him? ( please leave me a comment and let me know what you would chose...I really want to know)

I love this book so much.  I love the way its written, the details of her journey through her depression and I love how Stephenie describes everything in this book.

Now, its time to discuss a different side of this book....

Jacob Black

I know, I know *gives a second for all the wolf girls to swoon....Looks down at watch* All right times up.  Lets discuss this character.

Jacob Black, really comes into the picture in this book.  He practically pulls Bella out of her funk.  Yes she's still depressed, sad, and clutching at the whole in her chest but she gets a little better each time shes around him.  Jacob, is the son of Billy Black and lives in La Push, on the reservation.

I loves his role and part in this book.  He falls for Bella, HARD and shes pretty much blinded herself to that love. Well not really I think she sees it, but doesn't want to feel it.

Jacob Black is another character you end up falling for a rooting for, yeah hes the second best, but the best gave up  and walked away. (trying to protect Bella of course...over protective fool)  But, dose True Love...a love that is as strong as Edward and Bella's just die off like that.  I DONT THINK SO!

Bella saves Edward and of course he is still in love with her, he lied to protect her and he comes back to Forks.
So, if you haven't read this book, what in the world are you waiting for? Sorry for all the spoilers, I did warn you though lol.  But I love so many different asspects of this book and I didn't even cover all of them.  I didn't really even cover the Wolf Pack.  Sorry trying not to give everything away lol.  I will say I do love Paul in this book!

I will say one more thing though, I do love the wolves in this whole saga.  I love the history behind them!

Alright onto my rating before I give anymore away...of course I gave this book a:

Alright, so there you go...if you haven't read New Moon do so, trust me you wont regreat it, but if your a crier then bring some tissues!!!
