Review: Iridescent by Carol Oates
IN A GLANCE: Very well paced and very different from the usual Angel book.

Candra Ember used to dream of saving the world one person at a time. She never expected to become an angelic weapon and the last hope in the battle against ultimate darkness. Falling for a Nephilim wasn’t part of Sebastian’s plan. Distraction is something he can’t afford when his rival, Draven, wants what Sebastian has. Lies, manipulation, and corruption are twisting the lives of the citizens in Acheron. The Arch is missing from Heaven, and a demon is intent on claiming the city. At a time they should be growing closer, grief and paranoia is driving Candra and Sebastian apart. If the price of restoring the Watchers to Heaven is a human soul, who deserves to be saved?
Review
Iridescent is the second book in the Ember series, this series followers a girl that finds out she is a Nephilim. Tell me that wouldn't mess up your whole world if you found that out as a teenager? I know it would for me. I mean come on your a teenager and you find out that your mom and dad are well one is a human and one is an angel, its a little messed up.
This book is well paced and nothing like all the other angle books out there, like I said about the first book in this series, its very different than the normal. I really loved the action in this book also, making Iridescent a great read. The Characters are well thought out and grow through out the whole book, which is another great thing, you get to see them grow into who they are meant to be. I love when a book shows us characters that aren't perfect.
I also loved how detailed this book is and can't wait to read more from this author and more from these characters.
