If he had been with me, he wouldn't have died. Throughout their whole childhood, Finn and Autumn were inseparable—they finished each other's sentences, they knew just what to say when the other person was hurting. But one incident in middle school puts them in separate social worlds come high school, and Autumn has been happily dating James for the last 2 years. But she's always wondered what if... The night she's about to get the answer is also one of terrible tragedy.
It's been awhile since I have really fallen in love with a contemporary YA Romance. This one is right up there with AMAZING!!! It's also been a while since a book really made me cry like this one did. Connecting to these characters is what made this book the best book I've read this year. I loved reading every word and would recommend it to anyone of my YA reading friends.
Laura Nowlin is a talented author who wrote this beautifully written book and I for one can't wait to read more from this author. It took me a few days to even recover after reading this book, this book is that spectacular.
In my opinion this is going to be the best book I will read this year. I know it is so far! I know it is one that I will never forget. When someone writes a book about childhood love like she does in this book it stays with you. If you want to read an amazing book that wont let you go, then read If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin.
For If He Had Been With Me, I would give it an Ali's Bookshelf...
