In Ali's Kitchen: A New Feature

So, I've been thinking of ways to revive my thrill of blogging and reviewing.  That's one of my goals for 2015.  I am trying to come up with some new posts and new events to have right here on the blog and the first one that I'm going to announce is In Ali's Kitchen. 

I get a lot of requests to review cook books and I love to cook, so I put the two together and this is what I've come up with. Not sure how often I'll be posting these posts, but I'm excited.

In Ali's Kitchen

• Each post will showcase a cookbook that I've been asked to review. 
• Each post will showcase one of the recipes and I will be cooking said recipe. 
• Not sure if I'm going to add video or not yet, but I would really love that at some point.  

 

So that's the plan, I already have five cook books that I'm going to start with and again I'm super excited about it.  These posts will be going live in Jan 2015.  Make sure you keep an eye out for them.  (I'll also have a really cool post sticker for the post by then as well.)

Write On Review A Thon

The Write On review-a-thon is a monthly event created and hosted by Brianna at The Book Vixen. It’s 2 days dedicated to getting reviews done, whether you have one review to write or 30+. This edition of the review-a-thon takes place all day Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th . Let’s get those reviews done!

I wanted to make a short post about this great event coming up, I knew I wasn't the only one behind on writing reviews and this is going to be how I at least try to get caught up. If you are behind, you should totally join in and write some reviews on these dates as well.

Review-a-Thon Details:

• Reviews can be of the written variety or in video format.
• This event is not limited to book reviews. If you write/vlog reviews for movies, super cool gadgets, or anything else, you are welcome to participate.
• To participate, create a post on your blog with a list of reviews you need to complete. Don’t forget to grab the official blurb (above) and event button (grab code below). If you don’t have a blog, you can announce your intent to participate via social media (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc.) with a link back to this sign up post so others can join in as well.
• Add the DIRECT LINK to your sign up post to the linky found at the end of this post. The sign up linky will be open until 11:55 pm PDT on 9/27.
• On 9/27, get working on those reviews!
• There will be a wrap-up post linky here on The Book Vixen on 9/29. 

Goals: 

I'm going to try to at least get 6 Reviews wrote and scheduled to post that weekend.  That is my main goal! If I can do more I will be doing more. 

 

Browsin Your Bookshelf

I am so excited about this, for right now I am going to run this feature for two weeks.  This will be a feature to showcase some amazing bloggers and what is on their bookshelf's!  Today I will be posting Jeannette @ Walking on Bookshelves

Hey everyone, I wanted to let everyone know that I wont be posting anything in the next few days.  My area got hit by the tornado's yesterday and I am helping with collecting donations and stuff like that! I should be back on Monday though.

Computer Problems today!!!

Hey everyone, we have a problem!!! My IMM is going to be a bit late.  My computer is messed up.  My BF is going to be working on it for a today, but hopefully it will be fixed by later today and I will be posting my IMM tonight or possibly in the morning.  I got some great books this week and I really wanted to share them with you!!! 

I promise it will be posted by tomorrow afternoon!!! :(
