A SACRED OATH
A FALLEN ANGEL
A FORBIDDEN LOVE
Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.
First off I want to start off this review by saying that this is a re-read for me. One that I was super excited about. The first time I read this book was two days after it was published. I was super excited to dive into author Becca Fitzpatricks world of Angels and forbidden romance and I wasn't dissapointed one bit. I rememeber telling everyone that I knew about this book.
Then of course time went on and the next couple books in the series came out and I was reviewing other books at the time so I didn't get to read more of the series. They were just sitting there on my shelf. Well that changes now! So, I picked up Hush Hush once again and dove into the world once more and just like the first time, this book didn't dissapoint. I couldn't get enough of it and finished it in one day. Of course there are some things that happens when you re-read a book, it's never like the first time reading it, but it was still fantastic.
I love the characters in this series, angels have always facinated me and the way the author brings about their back stories make me want to read more. I need to know more about each of them and that's the reason I dove right into the second story in the series right away as well (Review coming soon!) The best part about this book really is the way the author interwove the whole plot into our world and made angels come to life. Patch is my all time favorite bad angel who I loved right away. At times reading the story I just want to grab him and say get it together, but at times I caught myself swooning over him. I love a book that can make you want to scream at a character and at the same time swoon.
The plot of this book is one that when I first read the book I had never read anything like it before. Now of course, there are a few other angel books that I've read and still to this day this is one of my favorites. The plan is to finish this whole series this year and I fully intend to do so.
I have so much love for this book and I can't wait to read more of this series. If you enjoy good vs. evil plot lines then Hush Hush is perfect for you!
I'm pretty sure by my review that you know what kind of rating I'm about to give Hush Hush, but humor me!
