Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife—between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.
Twilight, is one of my all time favorite books and like I said up at the top of this post its Twilight Week here on Ali's Bookshelf, so I will start with this amazing book!
I will say that I've read this book over five times now and I love it just as much as the first time I read it. The characters in this book and all the rest of them are so well developed and the emotions that comes out of this book are stunning. I fell in love with the main characters of Edward and Bella, the eternal and supernatural love they share is beyond most peoples imaginations.
I also fell in love with the other Cullen family members. Emmett Cullen would have to be my favorite though. I love the humor of Emmett and of course how hot he is. (What can I say I have a thing for tall muscular men lol)
I loved how Edward tries his best not to fall in love with Bella in this book. He fights it hard core, he's so scared he will hurt her physically that he tries to stay away from her but it doesn't work. He becomes friends with her and then much more. The pull toward her was way to strong and he just couldn't fight it.
As for Bella, I love how clumsy she is and how she doesn't see how others see her. She comes to a new town and school, after moving from phoenix to Forks to stay with her dad Charlie, well she goes to the new school and all the guys go crazy over her. She has no clue why and I love that about her. But, when she walks into the cafeteria of Forks High School that first day of class she can feel the pull toward Edward Cullen just as much as he can.
I also love how frustrated he gets in this book. ( you will have to read it to know why)
My favorite part of this book isn't what you would think though, its not just the love scene. Its actually what has been pegged as The Blood Typing Scene. I love how Edward acts around Mike Newton when it comes to Bella, I love how protective he is of her and this scene of the book is no different. He is also trying really hard in this part to fight that natural part of him that is telling him to drink her blood and take care of her at the same time. Love it!
Alright, I could go on and on about this great book but I'll stop there and let you decide for yourself. If you haven't read this great book its a must.
This book is defiantly a 5 puppy rating for me!
