1 Concert 2000 Miles 3 Ex-Best Friends Alice, Summer, and Tiernan are ex-best friends. Back in middle school, the three girls were inseparable. They were also the number one fans of the rock band Level3. But when the band broke up, so did their friendship. Summer ran with the popular crowd, Tiernan was a rebellious wild-child, and Alice spent high school with her nose buried in books. Now, just as the girls are about to graduate, Level3 announces a one-time-only reunion show. Even though the concert’s 2000 miles away, Alice buys three tickets on impulse. And as it turns out, Summer and Tiernan have their own reasons for wanting to get out of town. Good thing Alice’s graduation gift (a pea-green 1976 VW camper van known as the Pea Pod) is just the vehicle to get them there. But on the long drive cross-country, the girls hit more than a few bumps in the road. Will their friendship get an encore or is the show really over?
Review:
First I must say how refreshing this book is! Its all about three girls who used to be best friends, then a huge misunderstanding and they aren't friends anymore. One thing then another, they end up taking a trip together to see a favorite bands last concert ever. So many different things happen to them on this trip and they take a trip down memory lane as well.
Reunited is a great story and perfectly written. I simply enjoyed reading this book and was so thrilled that it wasn't like most books out these days about sex and boys. No this one is all about the girls. I loved everything about this book, from the cover to the plot its fantastic.
I defiantly recommend this book to anyone that is tired of the normal sex and boys type of book. This book is for someone that just wants a story they can curl up with a read. I will say this book took me a day to read and I would reread it any time.
Hilary Weisman Graham is a fantastic author and really knows how to paint the picture with her words. I can't wait to read any books that she writes. Defiantly one of my favorite books I've read this year. I also want to say one of my favorite parts of this book is the squirrel and no I'm not going to say what happened, you will just have to read it to find out!
