Ali Talks: Top 10 Retellings That I Want To Read

Ali Talks is a type of post where I talk about anything book related or pretty much anything I want to chat about here on the blog.  Today I want to talk about retellings and the ones that I'm dying to read.  There are so many out there recently and I have a few that I've been dying to get my hands on and a few of them are already on my bookshelf just waiting for me to read them.

Let's start with number 10 on my list and work our way to number 1.  So let's get down to it.

Number 10 on my list is...

Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen.

As you guessed it, this one is a Peter Pan retelling and I'm so excited to read this one.  It's already on my bookshelf just waiting for me to read it.

Number 9 on my list...

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

This one I've had my eyes on for some time, I just haven't bought it and took the time to read it yet.  But I love the summary and the cover, think it might just be my next buy.

Let's Move on to Number 8:

Dorthy Must Die by Danielle Paige

Another one that I've had my eyes on, but haven't picked up yet.  I must say how much I love this cover though.

It's time for Number 7:

 Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

Again one that's not on my shelf, but guess what it's on my Kindle.  So I need to add this one to my TBR list soon!

Let's go with number 6 next...

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis

Another book that I have on my Kindle and need to read as soon as I can.  Don't you just love this cover? I know I do.

We are half way there now, here's number 5...

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

A great sounding book that I have had in my hands a few times, but ended up putting back for another book.  Going to have to pick this one up and bring it home with me soon.

Number 4 on my list...

Ash & Bramble by Sarah Prineas

This is a book that I've had on my want to read list for awhile.  Need to move it to my currently reading list soon.    This one is a retelling of Cinderella, if you couldn't tell.

Number 3...

Grim by Ellen Hopkins, Julie Kagawa, and Amanda Hocking

So here's the thing, I love all three of these authors and I love Brother's Grim fairy tales so I have no idea why I haven't read this one yet.  But it's going on my TBR for May!

Now it's time for my top 2...

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Another book by an author that I love! Read Cinder already and couldn't wait to get my hands on Scarlet and I have it already, but haven't had the chance to read it.

We are finally down to number 1...I wonder how many of you know which book I'm going to say is my number one pick. Let's see if you are right shall we?

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

A book that I have wanted to read since I first heard about it, this book isn't even released yet and I'm already dying to read it.  The release date is next month on the 5th of May.  I will be buying this one the weekend it releases.  It's a must have and a must read for me!

So there you have it, my top 10 re-tellings that I've been dying to read! Some of these are on my shelf already and will be reading and reviewing soon.  I might just have to do a whole re-tellings month soon! That might be fun actually.   What is your number 1 retellings book you are dying to read? Leave me a comment below and let me know or if you have a post like this leave me a link, so I can see which re-tellings you are wanting to read.
