Alright, its time for some guest posts! Today I have all three amazing authors from Summer Confection with us.
Why did you write a light, fluffy, BDSM romance story first? by Estelle Mars
For the anthology light and fluffy worked best. I’ll be doing enough hard core in my next three novellas that I didn’t want to shock my fans. I felt easing them into it was a better idea. Also so many readers don’t think about the romance in the lifestyle. Yes, it’s about domination, but that doesn’t mean there is no love. Love is one of the most powerful emotions there is. Whether it’s the love of domination or submission or love of the person you’re committed to. There is always love somewhere.
You’ll notice I said committed to and not contracted to. I say that because there are couples who don’t use a contract, or they once did, and now their contracts are verbal.
Do you think you can tell a BDSM couple walking down the street? Bet not. Chances are you know someone in the lifestyle who doesn’t openly admit it to a vanilla person. It could be anyone from your neighbor to your boss. Don’t try to label people. You may find yourself wrong repeatedly.
Where did the idea for The Apartment come from? by B.F. Betty
The Apartment came out of nowhere for me. One morning, I had this idea for it, a picture in my head of Eve standing in the middle of this strange apartment with nothing left. I just had to get it out. One scene floated into another and then the next one and before I knew it, I had a book written. It was the most surreal experience of my life.
What made you choose the storyline associated with A Season of Change? by
Lisa Bilbrey
When coming up with the idea for A Season of Change, I knew that I wanted to do something emotional. It’s who I am and I find that I do some of my best writing by allowing my feeling to run wild. As a child, going to summer camp was the highlight of my vacation. My sister and I would pack a month before hand and count down the days until we left. Those seven days carried us through one year and into the next. So, in a lot of ways, I’m like Meredith — I found my way home, as well.
Thanks so much to you all for joining us today and sharing these little insights into your book!!!
