From Book To Movie: The Fault In Our Stars

I haven't done one of these in awhile, but I've been wanting to do a few more recently.  So many amazing movies are coming out and have come out lately.  Today I want to talk about The Fault In Our Stars.  I just finished my review of this incredible book, so now it's time to discuss the movie and how it compares to the wonderful book. The Fault In Our Stars Book VS. Movie

First of all I want to say how much I enjoyed this movie and how close they got it to the book.  Yes, I cried while reading and watching both the book and movie.  I did make sure I read the book as soon as I found out they were making a movie out of this book.  I have this unspoken rule with myself that I have read the book before I see the movie, so anyway, I made sure to read it first.

When I got to the movie theater to see this one I was more excited to see if they could pull off the emotion of the book and see if it would look the way I imagined everything...and for once it actually did.  They are starting to actual get book to movies correct and for that I am so excited to see other books that I love become movies. It gave me hope for the others.  Yes I know John Green had his say in this one, but they did fantastic.  Mostly everything was as I had imagined it.  Yes, like normal they did have to cut somethings out, but that's to be expected, they can't jam pack everything into a movie and expect us to sit there for hours watching it.  Us die hard book lovers probably would, but the rest of the world wouldn't.

But yes, I think this one did this lovely book justice.

For those of you that have seen the movie and read this great book, what did you all think of this movie? Did it do the book justice? Let me know what you think.
